Can you relate to any of these?
I
try to be nice.
I am concerned with
what another thinks of me.
I allow myself to be
used, controlled, dominated, cheated, and manipulated.
I allow another’s
opinion to control my beliefs, my thoughts, and my actions.
I expect another to
follow the rules.
I do.
Poor me, I’ll never
have (or be) anything.
It’s all their fault.
I don’t deserve...
I am not enough.
To be able to love myself I need to know about myself. I need to know how I feel about my experiences. I need to know what I like and what I don't like. I need to love me, cherish me, and celebrate ME.
Excerpt from "I Love Me 101":
"I create a whole world of deception in order to make myself worthy in the eyes
of others because I'm afraid if they knew all about me, the real me, they would
not like me.
The 'real me', WHO is that? What is that?"
